This approachable root-sweetened chai uses North American native plants like sarsaparilla to create an innovative chai experience. Blended with Assam tea to bring a richness that compliments the nose and the spice blend.
Tasting Notes: blends of root-beer notes with the classic cinnamon/anise of chai - subtle berry sweetness balanced by the rich Assam black tea.
Quick Steep: Use 1 tsp per 6-8 oz cup. Steep 5 minutes @ 212 deg (F)
Long Infusion: Low simmer for approx. 20 minutes. Don't worry about the black tea tannins - the licorice root will naturally smooth them over.
